PILOT COURSE CYBER SECURITY, 20.03-23.03.2023

The pilot course Cyber Security for university students will be held from 20th March (Monday) until 23th March (Thursday) 2023, 14:15 - 16:05 h.

University students are most welcome to join it. The course aims at teaching them to acquire and effectively use kills, which will facilitate them to protect their personal data on the Internet. The course will contribute to students’ better employability in their professional careers in the future as well as better well-being.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE PILOT COURSE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The pilot course has been successfully completed thanks to the professional expertise of the lecturer Dr. Kalinka Kaloyanova, and the active involvement of students from the three partner universities. The course tested the applicability of the study materials. The methods applied included theoretical overview, hands on tasks, discussions and quizzes. The overall participants' feedback from the course evaluation is excellent.

ONLINE PILOTING OF THE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT COURSE IN ICT MODULE, WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT DEVELOPING AND CONSOLIDATING ICT SKILLS IN A DIGITALIZED ENVIRONMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION, 6th - 9th February 2023

 Higher education university students and lecturers are invited to the piloting course INFORMATION MANAGEMENT within our current project. The course aims at teaching university students to acquire and effectively use skills, which will facilitate them to cope with information management and data base in their university studies. The course will contribute to students’ better employability in their professional careers in the future. The course will be theoretically and practically oriented, easy to comprehend, practised remotely, digitalized and uploaded on the ODLP.

TEACHER TRAINING ON ICT SKILLS, BUSINESS SKILLS AND LIFE SKILLS MODULES IN VILNIUS, LITHUANIA, 28th - 30th November, 2022

The Teacher Training on ICT, Business and Life skills was hosted by KAZIMIERO SIMONAVICIAUS UNIVERSITETAS and aimed to equip university academic staff with practical skills how to incorporate and teach the above mentioned skills in their academic lessons, thus assist and facilitate their university students in their academic studies as well as in their future professional careers and personal development.

#ErasmusDays conferences on 13th, 14th and 15th October

Come along and be part of the #ErasmusDays conferences on 13th, 14th and 15th October at Sofia University, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, 09:00-12:00, hall 317, to learn how to make use of a viral platform and academic courses on business skills, life skills and ICT skills for university students and academic staff! The conferences are part of the promotional events within the #ErasmusDays initiative which is held annually worldwide!

Project meeting in Zilina, Slovakia (20-21 September 2022)

Representatives of Sofia University (Bulgaria), University of Zilina (Slovakia) and Kazimiero Simonaviciaus Universitetas (Lithuania) met in Zilina to discuss current issues of our joint project focussing on the drafts of the syllabuses of the courses in Businеss, Life and ICT skills, and the learning mobility in Lithuania in November 2022. The hosts were very kind to organize a visit to the Laboratory for Мodelling and Simulation of Crisis Events in Transport for enhancing decision and invite their guests to a short cultural tour round the city of Zilina.

Teacher Training on ODLP (Open Digitalized Learning Platform) - 11th-16th July 2022

The training was meant for academic staff with the purpose to familiarize and consiolidate university educators'skills to work with the newly developed learning platform by fully utilizing all the opportunities the latter offers so that university educators' lessons become more informative, more intresting, more motivating and more effective for university students. Twenty participants from the three partners'institutions took part in the learning event achieving practical ICT skills and competences for better performance at university.

Quality Assurance Committee Meeting - 27th May 2022

The meeting was centered around some slight corrections to the Quality Assurance plan, launching a selection procedure for the teacher training in Sofia (12th -15th July 2022) by inviting colleagues to apply online by submitting a CV and a cover letter, the differences between the courses for students and the courses for academic staff, and the start of uploading information about the courses in the newly developed platform.

Skype Meeting - 20th May 2022

The online meeting focused on the following issues: current state of the project website, https://ict-skills.eu/, the template for course descriptions, a provisional template for a Quality Assurance Plan, a very detailed draft of the project Dissemination Plan, a facebook group of the project and other social media, some aspects of the logistics and selection criteria in connection with the Teacher training in Sofia in July 2022.
